• Contact Information: With your permission, we access your phone's contact list. Contact phone numbers are hashed (encrypted) before being stored or transmitted to protect privacy. We use this to help you find friends who are also on Reunion.
• Profile Information: Name, profile photo, and other information you choose to provide.
• Event Data: Your RSVPs, event attendance, and event-related activity.
• Location Data: Venue information for events you attend or show interest in.
• Messages: Direct messages and conversations with other users.
• Usage Data: How you interact with the app, including features used and actions taken.

Mobile Information and SMS Messaging

IMPORTANT: We collect your mobile phone number for account authentication and security purposes only. We send SMS messages containing one-time passcodes (OTPs) for authentication when you log in.

• Sender Phone Number: SMS messages will be sent from (220) 599-0122
• Message Frequency: You will receive SMS messages as needed for authentication purposes only (typically when logging in or verifying your account)
• Message & Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier's plan

Opt-Out Instructions:

• To Stop Messages: Text STOP to (220) 599-0122 at any time to opt-out. Note: Opting out will prevent you from logging into your Reunion account, as SMS authentication is required for account access.

We will NEVER:

• Sell your phone number to third parties
• Share your phone number with lead generators
• Use your phone number for marketing or promotional purposes beyond our core service notifications

• Security alerts related to your account
• Essential service communications

How We Use Your Information

• Show you events your network is attending

Contact Access

Reunion requires access to your contacts to function properly. Here's what you need to know:

• Required Permission: Contact access is mandatory to use Reunion, as our core feature is showing you which of your contacts are attending events.
• Privacy Protection: All phone numbers from your contacts are hashed using secure, one-way encryption before being transmitted or stored. This means we never store your contacts' actual phone numbers.
• No Notifications: When you join Reunion, none of your contacts are notified.
• Matching Only: Contact data is used solely to match you with friends on the platform. We do not sell or share your contact information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. Specifically, we do not and will never sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third parties, lead generators, marketers, or advertisers for promotional purposes.

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• With Other Users: Your profile information, RSVPs, and activity may be visible to other users based on your privacy settings (Everyone, Directs & Mutuals, or Directs Only). Your phone number is NEVER shared with other users.
• Service Providers: We use third-party services (like Supabase for data storage and Twilio for SMS delivery) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements. These providers are only authorized to use your information as necessary to provide services to us, not for their own marketing purposes.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, but only with the same privacy protections in place.

Your Privacy Controls

You have control over your information:

• Visibility Settings: Control who can see your event attendance (Everyone, Directs & Mutuals, or Directs Only).
• Attendee List Visibility: Choose whether you appear in public attendee lists.
• Blocking: Block any user or contact at any time.
• Profile Editing: Update or delete your profile information.
• Account Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption of sensitive information (like contact hashes), secure data transmission, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Children's Privacy

Reunion is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date.
